Bernadine Caroline Parker, 84, Alden

Bernadine Caroline Parker, age 84, of Alden, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. The Revs. Monrad Monsager and Meg Sander will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 7, from noon until time of services at the church. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Wells.

Bernadine was born on March 25,1919, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Henry and Lillie (Ebner) Tatge. She married Lloyd Parker on Nov. 8, 1945, in Wells. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She loved being a homemaker, being with her family and working in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Parker of Alden; one daughter, Nona and husband Duane Sippel of Albert Lea; two granddaughters: Lora Millang of Alden, and Lisa and husband Luc Renaux of Albert Lea; one great-grandson, Dylan Renaux; one brother; Elmer and wife Caroline Tatge of Wells; one uncle, Melvin and wife Esther Tatge of Wells; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, David, who was killed in Vietnam.

Arrangements are being carried out by the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells.
