Funeral services were held on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Evangelical Covenant Church, New London, for Calvin Berg of Paynesville.

Calvin died on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at the St. Cloud Hospital after a short illness. He was 69 years of age.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Carole Lee Evenson, formerly of Albert Lea. Together, before retirement, they operated the C & C Ranch at Atwater, where they enjoyed raising and training horses and participating in many area parades.

Calvin is also survived by daughter, Debbie; son, Jim (Shelly); stepson, Michael (Jodi) Evenson; brother, Doug (Judi); seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Other survivors are his mother-in-law, Dorothy Holmquist, and brother-in-law and his wife, Darryl and Isabel Lee, of Albert Lea.
