Donna Oliva always knows there is something to do down at the church.
Oliva volunteers at Trinity Lutheran Church on Washington Avenue in Albert Lea. She has also been a member for 18 years.
After Oliva retired from her job of 27 years in Waseca, she was looking for something to keep her busy that would also have a positive impact. Oliva is also active with the VFW.
“There is always something to do,” she said. “There is no reason for anyone to be bored.”
Oliva helps out with numerous things in the church office as well as being the chairwoman of the church’s annual soup and pie dinner, which is this Thursday.
Oliva enjoys working with the people at the church. She said there are a lot of people who volunteer with the church and help make things run smoothly.
“The church couldn’t run without the volunteers,” Oliva said.
