ALDEN &045; Jason Hemmingsen got his milestone.
The Alden-Conger Knights couldn’t get the win.
Hemmingsen topped the 1,000-yard mark for the season as the Knights lost 43-20 to Lyle/Austin Pacelli in a Southern Confederacy Conference football game at Alden Wednesday night.
Hemmingsen, a junior running back who wears No. 89, ran for 90 of the Knights’ 115 rushing yards on 24 carries, giving him 1,004 for the season.
But the visitors won it with big plays, building a 30-7 halftime lead. It was 43-13 after three quarters.
Kellen Blaser, a 185-pound sophomore, was the workhorse for Lyle/Pacelli, running for 318 yards on 40 carries.
Scott Martinson completed nine of 17 passes for 167 yards for the Knights. He threw one interception. Dan Troska caught three passes for 112 yards, including touchdowns of 55 and 49 yards.
The Knights, 1-7, are seeded eighth in their section and open tournament play Tuesday at top-seeded Spring Grove.
