At an age where some kids have yet to master a conventional bike, 8-year-old Dillon Sprague is already a veteran of the motorized version.
Dillon, of Albert Lea, has been racing motocross motorcycles for three years, and has a host of trophies to show for it.
This year, Dillon finished fifth out of 111 racers competing in the Midwest Supercross Championship Series promoted by motokazie.com. He also competed in AMA District 23 races, finishing fourth in the in the Dealer Series Championship, and raced in the chadpeterson.com series.
Earlier this month, Dillon received a silver cup and trophy for his racing achievements in an awards banquet at Canterbury Park in Shakopee.
After competing in the 7-8-year-old 50 cc oil injected class this year, Dillon will race in the 50 cc chain class next season.
Dillon is the son of Loren and Lisa Sprague and the grandson of Paul and Betty Sprague of Albert Lea.
