Norman Dale Bonnerup, 68, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Norman Dale Bonnerup, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.
Norman died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 68.
He was born to Chris and Johanne (Bach) Bonnerup at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea on Nov. 2, 1934.
Norman was a Freeborn County resident all of his life. He attended school in Glenville and Albert Lea. He was united in marriage to Maxine (Haugen) on July 14, 1956. He was self-employed with Bonnerup Excavating for 40 years. Norman was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eagle’s and the Southside Businessmen’s Organizations.
Norman is survived by his wife, Maxine of Albert Lea; three children: JoAnn and her husband Jon Behle of rural Wells, Douglas and his wife Jodi (Anderson) Bonnerup of Albert Lea, and Jeanne and her husband Duane Epland of Twin Lakes. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jolene and her husband Shane Babcock of rural Alden, Joel Behle of rural Wells, Rachel and her husband Casey Dressen of Albert Lea, Amanda Epland of Twin Lakes, Spencer, and Judd, Blair and Brandon Bonnerup of Albert Lea; two great-grandsons: Maverick Babcock and Gage Dressen; four sisters: Ruby Baumgartner of Aurora, Colo., Florence Brzezenski of Albert Lea, Lois and her husband Kenneth Gayken of Glenville, and Doris and her husband Harold Broitzman of Northwood, Iowa; sister-in-law, Velma Bonnerup of Albert Lea; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Chris and Johanne; sister, Esther Falksen; and brothers: Charles, Donald and Richard Bonnerup.
