Shirley Anne Donahue, 74, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Shirley Anne Donahue of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Mike Ellis from St. Theodore Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.

Shirley died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at her home in Albert Lea, surrounded by her loving children. She was 74 years of age.

Shirley was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Leone (Zeien) Tenney. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School.

Shirley was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Donahue on March 11, 1947, in Mason City. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and was employed by the Land-0-Lakes Co., from where she retired in 1983.

Shirley enjoyed Twins baseball, reading, camping and crossword puzzles. She loved to spend time with her pet dogs and her loving family.

Shirley is survived by her children: Tim (Pat) Donahue of Albert Lea, Terry(Lane) Duryee of Twin Falls, Idaho, Tom Donahue of Hopkins, Minn., Trudy “Pete” Donahue of Albert Lea, and Tracy (Susan) Donahue of Naperville, Ill., step-daughter, Margaret (Gail) Kennan of Paradise, Calif.; grandchildren: Paul and Brian Manuel, Deb (Marcellino) Pena, Jill, Kelli, Patrick, Erin and Ryan Donahue; great-grandchildren: Kasey, Tanner, Kennedy, Joplin and Seger; special great-grandson, Tavis Severtson, who has made his home with her the last two years; her companion dog, “Sammy;&uot; brother, Bill Tenney and his special friend, Dianna; sister, Barb Graves and her special friend, John, all of Mason City, Iowa; brother-in-law, Carol Severtson of Glenville; special friends: Jeff, Traci, Kayla and Kirk Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; step-mother, Dorothy Tenney; one grandson; sister, Pat Severtson; good friend, Marlin Thompson; and brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

Shirley was a very special “Lady” and will be missed by her family and friends.
