Mildred Marcella Enstad, 87, Austin

Mildred Marcella Enstad, age 87, of Austin, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

Mildred was born July 28, 1916, in Otisco Township, Minn. to Arthur and Nellie (Waldron) Blowers. She graduated from New Richland High School. On Oct. 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to Elmer B. Enstad. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1993. Millie was active in the Ladies’ Aid at Red Oak Grove, West St. Olaf and Grace Lutheran Churches. She won many prizes on her cookies in the American Dairy Association Butter Cookie Contest. She was a homemaker.

Steven (Linda) Enstad, Austin; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a sister:

Lillian Gahler, Homeland, Calif.; a brother:

Bob (Ilene) Blowers, Albert Lea.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; daughter, Carol Kabrud; and son, Roger.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Grace American Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Deye officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The casket bearers will be Steven Enstad, Dale Peterson, Bradley Peterson, Mark Evenson, Jon Evenson and Terry Kabrud.
