Authorities get break in shooting

MANKATO (AP) &045; Authorities said they got a break in a mysterious shooting southwest of Mankato.

A Minneapolis man, who prosecutors say is the cousin of victim Leonard Cook, was in jail Friday after police acted on a tip. After two days with little progress, police searched a home in Lake Crystal that they now believe was the site of the shooting.

DeAngelas Cook, 26, was charged with felony possession of a firearm. Prosecutors said he owns the gun used in the shooting and has three prior drug convictions.
