Stanley Hugo Johnson, 80, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Stanley H. Johnson, age 80, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Lunder Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tammy Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Lunder Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Stanley died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at his home in Albert Lea.

Stanley Hugo Johnson was born June 20, 1923, to Hugo Johan and Hannah Elizabeth (Nielson) Johnson in Albert Lea. He was confirmed at Round Prairie Lutheran Church by Rev. A. C. Korsrud and had been a member of Lunder Lutheran Church all his life. On June 7, 1945, Stanley was united in marriage to Beatrice Lembke at Pickerel Lake Concordia Lutheran Church. Stanley was a life-long dairy farmer in Freeman Township and the couple lived on the family farm until three years ago when they moved to Albert Lea. Stanley had been active in 4-H during his youth and later in adult leadership. He was a member of the Eagles and the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens and active in community and church activities.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; children: Dale and his wife Nancy Johnson, and Carol Kallberg; daughter-in-law, Patricia Johnson; grandchildren: Jason and his wife Rebekah Clark, Brian Johnson, Adrienne Clark and special friend Chuck Paczkowski, Melissa and her husband Damian Chapman, and Alan Johnson; great-grandchild, Jaden Clark; sister, Ruth and her husband Hilliard Thompson; sisters-in-law: Gertrude Stalhiem, Velura Lembke, and Neva Lembke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Hannah; children: Sylvia and Scott in infancy, and Wayne in 1975; son-in-law, Maurice Kallberg; sister Edith and her husband Glen Olson; and brother, Iver Mauritz and his wife Marion Johnson.
