Marjorie M. Bendixen, age 81, of Austin, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003 at the Austin Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Albert Lea, to Charles and Laura (Hansen) Doud. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1941. She married James Bendixen on June 30, 1943, at the Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Austin. Marjorie was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Austin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6,
at 3 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn L. Monson officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. The organist will be Ruth Monson, and the soloist will be Brandon Sampson.
She is survived by husband, James (Jim) Bendixen of Austin; daughters and son-in-law: Linda Andersen of Lakeville, Minn., and Mary and Charles Moline of Austin; grandchildren and spouses: Steve and Sue Andersen of Albert Lea, Paul and Denise Andersen of Albert Lea, Stephanie and Tom Grotbo of St. Bonifacius, Minn., and Suzanne Moline of Austin; four great-grandchildren: Christian, Gracelyn, Alicia and Anna Andersen, all of Albert Lea; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and five sisters; and son-in-law: Oluf Andersen.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
