Minnie Lucille Olson, 91, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Minnie L. Olson, age 91, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the church. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Minnie died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Minnie Lucille Olson was born May 31,1912, to Martin and Pemilla Olson in Sacred Heart, Minn. She attended schools in Rake, Iowa, and graduated from Rake High School. On Sept. 20, 1930, Minnie was united in marriage to Henry Olson in Rake.
She lived in the Albert Lea area for approximately 35 years. Minnie owned a Norwegian stitchery business in her home called “Minnie’s Stitchery.” She enjoyed knitting afghans and sweaters that her family cherishes. Minnie was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Donn and her husband George Feuerhelm; grandchildren: Heidi and her husband Randy Hammerschmidt, Stacey and her husband Scott Hanna, and Nate Feuerhelm; great-grandchildren: Brieana, Paige, and Parker Hanna, and Ryan Hammerschmidt; and sister, Margaret Jordahl.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Olson; daughter and son-in-law, LaVonne and Chuck Lowery; and grandson, Scott Feuerhelm.
