Clifford R. Seymore, 82, Albert Lea

Clifford R. Seymore, age 82, of Albert Lea, formerly of California, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at Parker Oaks, Winnebago.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth, with the Rev. Mary Willis Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be one hour prior to the services at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street, in Blue Earth.
He was born Nov. 16, 1921, at Grapevine, Ark., the son of William R. and Jeffie (Greene) Seymore.
Clifford was raised in Arkansas and moved to California in the 1930s to seek employment He married Mary Tomberlin on Jan. 31, 1942 in Las Vegas.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. After the war ended he and Mary made their home in California. Clifford was a diesel mechanic by profession for Allyn Transportation Company for over 30 years. Cliff & Mary retired in 1979 and moved to Albert Lea to be near family. Cliff was active in the Masonic Lodge and Shriners through the years. His hobbies included wood working and working with wind powered equipment.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna (and husband Ron) Fenske of Amery, Wis.; daughter, Kathy (and husband Dale) Stallkamp of Blue Earth; brother, Gene (and wife Pat) Seymore; sister, Nita (and husband Tee) Morehead; sister, Wanda (and husband Ed) Piechocinska; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers: Bud and Bo Seymore.
