William LeRoy Brackey, 46, Phoenix, Ariz.

Memorial services for William L. Brackey, age 46, of Phoenix, Ariz., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County Servicemen’s organizations. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the services at the church.

William died Dec. 19, 2003, at his home in Phoenix.

William LeRoy Brackey was born Nov. 9, 1957, to Norris L. and Joyce E. (Mielke) Brackey in Albert Lea. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1976. William served in the United States Air Force from 1976-1981. After his discharge, he attended electronics school in Austin for two years before moving to Phoenix where he was employed as a video production designer for Video Data Corporation.

Survivors include his daughter, Billy Jo Brackey and son, Travis Brackey, both of Colorado; mother, Joyce and her husband Don Metcalfe of Albert Lea; brothers: Todd Brackey, and Randy and his wife Renae Brackey; niece, Amber Brackey; nephews: Steven and Seth Brackey; grandmother, Viola Bartz; and uncles, aunts and cousins.

William was preceded in death by his father, Norris L. Brackey; grandmother and grandfather Brackey; and grandpa Bartz.
