A PeeWees take home consolation championship

The Albert Lea A PeeWees hockey team won the consolation championship in the recent Albert Lea Invitational.
In their first game, locals lost to the Andover A PeeWees.
Game two was against New Prague, which had defeated Albert Lea twice this season.
The visitors led 1-0 at the end of the first period. Albert Lea tied it in the second on a goal by Drew Passingham on an assist from Ryan Evenson, but New Prague took a 2-1 edge into the third. Tyler Prihoda tied it on an assist from Grant Stadheim, and Albert Lea took the lead as Stadheim scored on a Brady Flatness assist. Stadheim added another goal, assisted by Mitchell Sorenson, and Albert Lea won 4-2.
The consolation title game was against Austin.
After allowing Austin an early 1-0 lead, the locals answered with five consecutive goals and went on to win 5-1. Goalie John Wrolson had an outstanding game for Albert Lea. Scoring were Tyler Prihoda, Cody Anderson, Evenson, Sorenson and Dan Sharpsteen, with assists going to Sorenson, Passingham, Prihoda, Stadheim, Blake Adams and Flatness.
Every player on the team played an excellent game from start to finish, according to coaches Fred Nelson, Scott Ellertson, Sean Passingham and Randy Wrolson.
Team members are Michael Falk, Sorenson, Flatness, Stadheim, Casey Marka, Prihoda, Adams, Anderson, Mason Tuohy, Evenson, Taylor Draayer, Ashton Wangen, Sharpsteen, Darrell Luttrell, Drew Passingham and John Wrolson.
