Margaret Lola Bothun, 95, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Margaret Lola Bothun, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the United Methodist Church of Albert Lea. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be no reviewal. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Mrs. Bothun died Saturday evening at the Thorne Crest North Retirement Center in Albert Lea. She was 95 years of age.
Margaret was born Sept. 10, 1908, in Mt. Auburn, Iowa, the daughter of Philip and Olive (Kepple) Einwalter. She attended public school in Albert Lea.
Margaret was united in marriage to Edwin H. Bothun on Aug. 31, 1929, in Waterloo, Iowa. Together they made their home in Waterloo for many years before returning to Albert Lea. She was employed by the American Gas and Machine Co. in Albert Lea and the John Deere Co. in the medical department while in Waterloo, Iowa.
Margaret was a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in the Church Circle and enjoyed spending time with her church friends.
Margaret is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Joan Bothun of Albert Lea; one grandson, Jason Bothun of Waterloo, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; and five brothers and five sisters.
Margaret was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
