Maynard Elmer Estes, age 72, of Northwood, Iowa, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at his home in Northwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 South, Northwood, with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral

Maynard Elmer Estes was born on Feb. 23, 1931, in Northwood to Stewart and Martha (Grosland) Estes. He married Beverly Severtson on Dec. 28, 1958, in Charles City, Iowa.
Throughout his life he lived in Northwood and Little Falls, Minn., area. He currently owned the Albert Lea Tractor Parts since 1986. He has farmed and worked heavy construction. He enjoyed his family, friends, bluegrass music, antique tractor shows, motorcycles and antique car restoring.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Estes; stepfather, Henry Dahl; and fathers-in law, Carl Severtson and Donald Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Northwood; mother, Martha Dahl of Austin; stepmother, Lillian Estes of Brainerd; mother-in- law, Ruby Severtson of Albert Lea; children: Darlene Tomlinson of Wisconsin, Marilyn Gentz and husband Gene of Forest City, Iowa, Bonnie Brevig and husband Richard of Northwood, David Estes of Little Falls, Nancy Sanoski and husband Dennis of Little Falls, Allen Estes and his wife Ann of Albert Lea, John Latham, Jim Latham, and Jeanne Stanley from the Minneapolis area; brothers:Stan Estes and friend June Varner of Little Falls, Dean Estes and his wife Mary of Phoenix, Ariz., George Dahl of Austin, and Tom Estes of Little Falls; sister, Rose Estes of New Mexico; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren;
great-great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, Ross Severtson and his wife Ruth Ann of Albert Lea, and Larry Severtson of Albert Lea
