Editorial: Attend a caucus this Tuesday and make a difference

On Tuesday, the political parties of Minnesota will hold their precinct caucuses around the state. The caucuses are the starting point of the 2004 campaign and are a great opportunity for everyone to become involved with their political parties and to voice their opinions on issues.
Whatever party you choose, precinct caucuses are the beginning of the process for choosing a candidate for president (for the DFL) and the issues both parties will support. Each person who attends a caucus will be heard. This is your chance to have a say and share views with neighbors.
In Freeborn County, the DFL will meet at the Union Center, and Republicans will meet in the commons area of Albert Lea High School. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
The November elections are still a distance down the road, but it is important to start making a difference this Tuesday.
