Gladys M. Larson, 95

Gladys M. Larson, age 95, was a longtime resident of St. Paul until moving to Martin Luther Manor, Bloomington, Minn., in 1998.

She is survived by brother, Sydney K. Larson of Sun City Center, Fla.; eight nephews and nieces: David, Philip, Kenneth, Gerald, Ronald and Lyle Larson, and Sylvia Anderson and Betty Mae Larson.

At a young age, Gladys moved to Sherburne, Minn., Winnebago and then Albert Lea. She graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended one year of business college there. She then worked as a secretary for Enderes Corp. in Albert Lea. Gladys moved to St. Paul and worked for the State of Minnesota from the 1940s until retiring in 1974. Through the years she kept her affiliation with First Methodist Church of Albert Lea and was a member of the State Employees Union. Gladys was known as a wonderful caregiver. She lived with and cared for her mother and oldest sister until their deaths. She also took care of her second oldest sister for 10 years; often saying these were wonderful times.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Martin Luther Manor, 1401 E. 100th St., Bloomington, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
