Paul Anderson, former resident of Albert Lea

Paul Anderson, former resident of Albert Lea, died March 11, 2004, near Halsted, Minn., from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.

Paul was born Sept. 10, 1970. He was the only son of Norris (Andy) and Violet Anderson, adopted into their family on Nov. 12, 1970. He was baptized Nov. 26, 1970, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea by the Rev. Arvid E. Bidne and attended Sunday School there. He attended Northside Elementary School and Brookside Junior High School in Albert Lea. In 1984, at the age of 14, he moved with his parents to Shelly, Minn., graduating from Climax, Minn. High School in 1989. He received his CDL license and certificate in the Truck Driving Training Course at Northwestern Technical College in Wadena, Minn. He drove over the road for a number of years. He moved to Halstad in 2002.

He married Michele Wayman of Fargo, N.D., and they had three children: Brandy Ann, Briana Kay, and Tristan James Paul. They were divorced in 1998. A daughter, Zoe Lane, was born to Paul and his fianc, Tera Peterson, of Halstad, on Feb. 8, 2004. In Paul’s early years his interests and hobbies included cub scouts, water skiing and hockey. He later enjoyed guitar, water skiing, truck driving and snowmobiling.

Paul is survived by his parents: Norris and Violet; his four children: Brandy, Briana, Tristan and Zoe; his best friend and fiancee, Tara Peterson, his Godmother, Delores Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral service was held March 16, 2004, at Shelly Marsh River Lutheran Church in Shelly, officiated by the Rev. Gerry Eggers. Inurnment will be at Shelly Marsh River Cemetery at a later date.
