Edward C. Osmundson, 73, rural Winnebago

Edward C. Osmundson, age 73, of rural Winnebago, died Thursday , May 20, 2004, at his home at rural Winnebago. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church in Delavan. Burial will be in East Lutheran Cemetery at Delavan. Visitation time will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and one hour prior to services at the Church on Monday.
He was born August 19, 1930, in Mankato the son of Emil & Esther (Grothe) Osmundson.
He attended school at Delavan and moved to Blue Earth for a few years. On July 28, 1972 he married Marilyn Donna Babcock in Blue Earth. They moved to Bass Lake near Winnebago where he resided until his death. Eddie owned and operated Osmundson Construction for many years. For the past several years he enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Delavan.

of Joice, Iowa, step son, Mike & Diane Babcock of Kiester, step son, Kevin & his wife, Heidi Babcock of Rousse, Bulgaria, step son, David Babcock & special friend, Sheila Gonzales of Mankato, step daughter, Lori & her husband, Jeff Rauk of Forest City, Iowa, and 9 grandchildren, six step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, Roland & his wife, Delores Osmundson of Delavan, brother, Frank & his wife, Linda Osmundson of Quincy, Ill., sister, Barbara & her husband, Gene Franke of Hayfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
