A men’s slow-pitch softball team partially sponsored by the Aragon Bar of Albert Lea did not waste any time earning a spot in a 2004 national tournament.

The Aragon/Double Play/Miken team, which includes several area players, finished second in the Corky’s Earlybird World Softball League Class C Qualifier at Owatonna last weekend, gaining an invitation to the WSL World Championships Sept. 10-14 at Panama City, Fla.

Forty teams competed at Owatonna.
