AUSTIN &045; After playing so well in so many games lately, the Albert Lea High School softball team had an off night.
With only nine players making the trip because of illness and other reasons, the Tigers lost 10-0 in a Big Nine game at Austin Thursday.
&uot;We did the best we could,&uot; said coach Rick Harves. &uot;We have really been playing well, but tonight we had an off game a little bit.&uot;
The Tigers had two hits on the day, one each by Jenna Brackey and Heather Stegenga.
The Packers’ big inning was the second, when they scored eight runs. They ended it in the fifth by the 10-run rule.
Nicole Rafdal pitched for the Tigers, giving up seven hits and three walks while striking out two.
