Donald Duane Pederson Sr., 66, Hartland

Memorial services for Donald D. Pederson Sr., age 66, of Hartland, will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 11, at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Hartland. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the Church.

Donald died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at his home in Hartland.

Donald Duane Pederson was born Feb. 17, 1938, to Edgar Raymond and Esther (Schlaak) Pederson in Albert Lea. He graduated from New Richland High School. On April 23, 1960, Donald was united in marriage to Rose Marie Cunningham at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newry. After retiring from farming, he had been employed as a janitor at United South Central School District. Donald was a past member of the Elks, a former president of the NFO, and past president of the Crossroad Snowmobile Club. He was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church. Donald was a very accomplished wood worker.

Survivors include his sons: Donald “Chip” and his wife Suzi of Hartland, Jeffrey and his wife Janice of Ellendale, Richard “Dick” and his wife Anita of San Gabriel, Calif., and Anthony “Tony” and his wife Kim of Minnesota Lake; sisters: Ardis Hegna of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Janet Bren of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Virgil Pederson of Hartland; grandchildren: Chris, Curt, Carl, Corbin, Nate, Tyler, Josh, Jenna, Tillie, Anyssa, and Brittany; great-grandchildren: Zane and McKenzie; and his former wife, Rose.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, mother- and father-in-law; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.
