GENEVA &045; An area tradition will be revived Saturday, June 19 when the 37th Freeborn County Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame Banquet is held at the Geneva Community Center.

For the first time in several years, five new members will be elected to the hall of fame as former fast-pitch players and fans gather for an evening of memories and a chance to renew old friendships.

Anyone and everyone interested in fast-pitch softball is invited. Especially welcomed are widows and family of former players.

The meal choices are chicken or pork chop and is catered by George’s of Geneva. Cost is $12 and includes salad bar, coffee, tax, gratuity and $2 voting membership. Social hour starts at 6 p.m. with the meal served at 7.
