Memorial services for John Lacis Jr., age 59, of Albert Lea, will be held

11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

John died Friday, June 4, 2004, at his home in Albert Lea.

John Lacis Jr. was born Nov. 28, 1944, to John and Margaret (Breidis) Lacis in Vienna, Austria. The family came to the United States and settled in Albert Lea in 1950. John graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended the University of Minnesota. He was an electrical engineer employed by Stan-Ex Corporation before retiring and moving back to Albert Lea to care for his parents.

Survivors include his sons: Jon and Jason; grandchildren: Alyssa, Jon, Savannah, and one soon to be born; and his former wife, Kathy Lacis.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
