Your Two Cents …

To ensure motorists are driving vehicles which meet basic safety standards &045; working lights, blinkers, etc. &045; the Minnesota State Patrol occasionally sets up check points, randomly pulling vehicles over for a quick check of these systems, which often serves as an alert for motorists that they should get basic maintainance work done.
Some residents feel such a check point stop infringes on their rights. Others see it as
a way to ensure motorists are driving safe vehicles &045; ensuring fewer roadside breakdowns and the potential for accidents.
What do you think about the random, infrequent check points?
