Beatrice S. Schultz, age 89, of Freeborn, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at the Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. The Rev. Thien Nguyen will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Bruss&045;Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, with a prayer service

at 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.

Beatrice was born on July 2, 1915, in Freeborn, the daughter of Isaac and Bertha (Bergeson) Stensrud. She was educated at Freeborn High School. She married Peter Schultz on Oct. 29, 1940. She was a housewife and mother. She was a lifetime resident of Freeborn. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, Guild One and St. Katherine’s Guild. She was a member of Freeborn Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards and belonged to a bridge club and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery work and visiting.

She is survived by two sons: Rodney and wife Linda Schultz of Coralville, Iowa, and Brian and wife Kim Schultz of Mankato; grandsons: Timothy and Thomas Schultz, and Matthew and Peter Schultz of Mankato; great grandson, Brady; one sister, Burnette Stensrud Carter of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter, in 1997; sons: Timothy and David; and three sisters: Mildred, Almeda and Lila.

Memorials preferred to All Saints Catholic Church of New Richland or Albert Lea Medical Center.
