Florence H. Tollefson, age 95, formerly of 2306 South 10th Street, Manitowoc, Wis., died Tuesday morning, July 6, 2004, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Wesley Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Neil Piepenburg will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Florence was born February 1, 1909 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Olef and Amanda Griese Tollefson. She attended the Manitowoc Public Schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. On December 30, 1936 Florence was married to Alfred 0. Tollefson in Buffalo, N.Y. Florence had worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. and retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. of Albert Lea in 1964. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers and AARP.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; James and Judy Tollefson of Tempe, Ariz., Ronald and Lisle Tollefson of Spokane, Wash., three grandchildren; Brian Tollefson ofChandler, Ariz., Liese Tollefson of Spokane, Wash., Maeshowe Tollefson of Mesa,Ariz., three brothers and one sister-in-law; Earl and Tina Tollefson of Fruitland Park, Fla., Roland W. Tollefson of Manitowoc, Wis., Delore Tollefson of Manitowoc, Wis., a special niece, Donna Gauthier of Two Rivers, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Karen Larson, her husband, Alfred 0. Tollefson on June 15, 2002, and three brothers and one sister.

Relatives and friends may call at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the Tollefson family.
