James R. Hansen, 80, Jacksonville, Fla.

James R. Hansen of Jacksonville, Fla., died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at the Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Fla., from cancer.

He was born July 2, 1924, in Albert Lea to Russell and Lorraine (Lucken) Hansen. He moved to Jacksonville in 1941. James served in the U.S. Navy and retied after 20 years.

He then worked for and retired from the City of Jacksonville. He and his wife Hilda operated a catering business for many years in the Jacksonville area.

James is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hilda M. (Braddock) Hansen of Jacksonville; sisters: Marilyn (David) Stadheim and Susan (Roy) Kraushaar of Albert Lea; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kim; daughter, Gina Siemer; brother-in-law, Tillman Braddock; and sister, Margaret Suckar.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 21, at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
