Clifford John Felt, age 95, of Austin, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Austin Medical Center.

He was born June 17, 1909, to John and Esther (Boreen) Felt in Minneapolis. They lived in Madison, S.D., until about age 9 when they moved to Austin, where he lived until the present. He married Marcella Chapman on Dec. 24, 1931, in West Union, Iowa. Marcella died in 1974. Clifford married Lucille Barclay on March 5, 1977, in Austin. Lucille died in 1987. Clifford was a Hormel employee for 38 years, retiring in 1972. He belonged to the Eagles, was an avid bowler and loved fishing in the Boundary Waters.

Survivors include sons: Ronald (Shirley) Felt of Albert Lea, and Keith (Elizabeth) Felt of Austin; daughter, Patricia (Charles) Nelson of Park Rapids, Minn.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lavina Bute of Austin; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcella; second wife, Lucille; and sister in infancy, Esther.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 at Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, with Rev. Randy Petersen officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and one hour before the service. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery.
