Everett Stundahl, age 74, of Austin, died Friday morning, Aug. 6, 2004, at his home.
Everett Palmer Stundahl was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Austin, to Erling and Amelia (Midje) Stundahl. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Midway Lutheran Church, Oakland. He married Joyce Olson at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea on July 20, 1957, They lived in Austin one year, moving to Albert Lea until 1959, and have made their home in Austin since that time, Everett worked at Usem Inc., for thirty years. A member of Grace Lutheran Church, he was on the church council and was financial secretary. Everett loved woodworking. He was Joyce’s and Cyndi’s husband, dad, and special pal. Everett loved his family. His nieces and nephews were very special to him in their own special way. Jason started calling him “Unc” and that name was with him until he died. He was a special “Unc” to everyone.
Everett is survived by his wife, Joyce of Austin; daughter , Cyndi (Dan) Veverka of St. Paul; brother, Duane (Shirley) Stundahl of Austin; sisters, Beverly (Don) Turner of Austin, Merlene Smith of Rochester, and Sandra (Bill) Knopf of Rochester; an sister-in-law, Rose Stundahl of Austin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mel Stundahl; and brother-in-law, Charlie Smith.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin with The Rev. Harold Deye and The Rev. Russell Wangen co-officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
