Linda Spooner, 36, Hartland

Funeral services for Linda S. Spooner, age 36 of Hartland, will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Hartland.
Pastor Dennis Frank will officiate. Burial will be at the Hartland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Linda died on Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at her home surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda S. Spooner was born on September 10, 1967 in Gaylord, the daughter of Robert and Carol (Rasmussen) Battenfeld. She attended and graduated from New Richland High School and furthered her education at Mankato Technical College. On Oct. 10, 1987, she was united in marriage to Robert Spooner at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Richland. Linda worked at Federated Insurance and was presently employed by the Waseca Police Department. Linda enjoyed fishing trips with her family, shopping, riding their motorcycle, and most important was attending her two children’s school and sporting events. She was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, the Hartland Birthday Club and the Hartland Fire Department Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Spooner, children; Ashley and Nathan.

Robert and Carol Battenfeld, sisters, Brenda and husband Daniel Hullopeter and Barbara and husband Patrick Hullopeter. Grandmothers, Beverly Rasmussen and Gladys Battenfeld. Father and Mother-in-law, Duane and Kathryn Spooner, brother-in-law, Bradley and wife JoAnn Spooner, sisters-in-law, Brenda and husband Jay Johnson and Tammy Krueger and fianc Ron Wynkoop.
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.
Linda was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Maynard Rasmussen and Fred Battenfeld.
Linda was a very loving and caring individual, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
