Vera V. Hove was born April 29, 1910, at Woodward, Iowa, the first child of Joseph and Lillian (Godfrey) Stover. She was baptized at Crystal Lake, Iowa. Vera married Palmer Hove on June 1, 1929, at the Bricelyn Lutheran Parsonage. She was then confirmed in December 1929 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple initially farmed near Scarville, Iowa, and in 1945 they moved to the Kiester area where they raised their family. In 1948, they built and operated the Kiester Sales Co. at Kiester. In 1970, they moved to Albert Lea. Both Palmer and Vera were very active in the Kiester Saddle Club and enjoyed traveling. Palmer and Vera were involved in many flea markets. They spent several summers at Baudette in their mobile home and loved fishing at the Lake of the Woods. Palmer and Vera were members of the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea and very involved in the AA Club. Vera was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center for the past four years.

The family is very appreciative for the love and care given to their Mother from the staff.
