Turnovers cost Rebels against MCW

WELLS &045; A 73-yard pass by Martin County West with three minutes left spelled defeat for the United South Central football team Friday.
USC fell behind in the first quarter when Tyler Brolsma scored on a 3-yard run. MCW missed the extra point.
Shea Kaiser scored for the Rebels in the second quarter from 6 yards away, and a successful extra point gave USC a one-point lead at halftime.
A safety by USC gave the Rebels a 9-6 lead after three quarters.
MCW quarterback Luke Bloomquist threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to Zach Krumwiede for the win.
&uot;It was a great game between two equal teams,&uot; said USC coach Brent Schimek. &uot;We just came up short.&uot;
The Rebels, 1-2, have their homecoming game this Friday against Minnesota Valley Lutheran.
