After slow start, G-E volleyball team rallies past LeRoy-Ostrander

GLENVILLE &045; It’s rather late in the season for lineup changes, but the Glenville-Emmons volleyball team didn’t have a choice.
And it didn’t take the Wolverines long to adjust.
After starting slow Tuesday against LeRoy-Ostrander, dropping game one, the Wolverines regrouped and won 3-1 in a Southeast Conference match at Glenville. The final tally in favor of the home team was 17-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.
&uot;We had to make some adjustments with people playing different positions,&uot; said G-E coach Lisa Ziebell. &uot;We were a little nervous and we started slow.&uot;
But they wound up serving 94 percent, converting 79 of 84 attempts.
&uot;We did a good job serving again and we did a real good job at the net,&uot; said Ziebell.
The Wolverines’ individual leaders: Sam Stadheim 13-for-13 serving, six points, five kills, two ace blocks; Miranda Kral 13-for-13 serving, three aces, nine points, 28 digs; Chelsey Ziebell 9-for-12 serving, six points, eight kills, 23 digs, two assists, three ace blocks; Alicia Reyerson 17-for-17 serving, one ace, 13 points, 11 kills, two ace blocks; Jordan Claussen 17-for-17 serving, four aces, nine points, one ace block, 30 digs, 11 set assists; Kara Honsey 6-for-7 serving, one ace, seven points, 16 digs; Ashley Lau three assists; Amanda Weiss 4-for-4 serving, three points; Amanda Epland five kills, one block; Mallory Paulsen 32 digs.
The Wolverines ran their record to 8-3 in the SEC and 12-9 overall.
