Gertrude
L. Morgan, of 1004 18th St., Albert Lea, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004 at her daughter’s home. There will be no funeral ceremony.
Gertrude was born Sept. 26, 1916, at Preston, Minn., to Frank and Winnefred (Losey) Schwartz. She married Lester Lyon.
They were divorced. She then married Henry Morgan, the love of her life, and will be buried in the spring next to him at the VA Cemetery, Phoenix, Ariz.,
Gertrude lived in Phoenix for 25 years and the last 10 years in Albert Lea. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Gertrude enjoyed crocheting; listening to country music and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Her grandson, Scott McConnell, and great-granddaughter, Teigan Johnson, were very special to her.
Gertrude is survived by 11 children; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Schwartz of Waterloo, Iowa, and sister, Elisabeth Smith of Waterloo, Iowa.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Morgan; two sisters; seven brothers; two granddaughters; and three son-in-laws
