Jenna Marie Mickelson, 17, Bloomington

Jenna Marie Mickelson, age 17, of Bloomington, Minn., was called home to God on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004. as the result of a car accident.
She was born July 28, 1987, in Burnsville, Minn., the daughter of Richard and Joan (Walters) Mickelson. Jenna was currently a junior at Lutheran High School in Bloomington. She loved everything about school – her teachers and socializing with her friends. Jenna cherished the time she spent with her family, but she especially enjoyed the family vacations they took together. Her favorite pastimes were driving her truck, eating anything with chocolate, and talking with her friends on the phone.
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Joni Mickelson; her siblings: Katrina and Brandon, all of Bloomington; three special dogs: Kiska, Tommy and Kujo; maternal grandparents: Delores and Richard Lindell of Albert Lea; her aunts and uncles: Tom and Kathie Groeneweg of Clarks Grove,
John and Jaynee Lee of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Annette Harrison of Rochester, and Jean and Richard Nadler of California; her godparents: Brian and Kelly Schmidt and their daughter, Samantha, of Grand Rapids, Minn.; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 30,
at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redemption, Bloomington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Dennis Drews will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family for a memorial fund that will be set up for Jenna.
