Panthers pound Madelia/Truman

MADELIA &045; As expected, the NRHEG football team had little trouble against Madelia/Truman.

The Panthers ran their record to 5-1 while keeping M/T winless with a 37-8 decision at Madelia Friday night.

&uot;Our guys played extremely well all four quarters,&uot; said Panthers coach Dan Stork. &uot;There was no letup.&uot;

Bjorn Peterson had another big game at quarterback, completing 11 of 15 passes for 180 yards and no interceptions. Jason Lennox scored a pair of touchdowns while running for 108 yards on 11 carries and catching two passes for 74 yards. Jack Bushlack returned an interception 103 yards for a score and Taylor Greenwood had an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Chris Somage had 11 tackles to lead the defense. Matt Holland made eight tackles, Phil Olson seven.

The Panthers play at United South Central this Friday.
