Adeline Jiroushek, 93, Ellendale

The funeral service for Adeline Jiroushek of Ellendale will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at First Lutheran Church, Ellendale. The Rev. Arne Halbakken will officiate. Interment will be in the Steele Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service in Ellendale.

Adeline died on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie. She was 93 years old.

Adeline was born in Steele County, on June 10, 1911, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Linse) Boettcher. She attended the Riverpoint Country School.

Adeline had been a Steele County resident all of her life. She was married to Hubert Jiroushek in Owatonna, on Nov. 4, 1931. They just celebrated their 73rd anniversary. Adeline had been a member of First Lutheran Church since 1932 and was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Adeline was a member of the Oak St. Club and Steele Co. Extension Club.

She also enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels and helping at SEMCAC. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Adeline is survived by her husband, Hubert of Ellendale, daughters: Betty Anderson of Bixby, Janice (Dale) Waage of Ellendale; four grandchildren: Craig Anderson, Brian (Kathy) Waage, Lee Waage and Bruce Waage; five great-grandchildren: Jessica and Allison Waage, Demario , Davante and Cardia Reid; stepsister: Darlene (Don) Noyce of Owatonna; sister-in-law: Edna Boettcher of Estherville, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law: DuWayne Anderson, brothers: William, Herman, George, Lloyd and Albert Jr. Boettcher; four sisters in infancy.
