Lyle Alan Anderson, age 59, of Emmons, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Emmons Lutheran Church in Emmons. Rev. Julie Fiske officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday at Mittelstadt Funeral Home in Lake Mills. Iowa, and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Burial is at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Emmons.
Lyle Anderson was born on December 1, 1944, near Lansing, son of Julius and Florence (Frost) Anderson. He was baptized at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin.
Lyle was united in marriage with Betty Scott on June 29, 1968, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa. They lived in Austin before moving to their home by Emmons. Lyle worked at Wilson’s/Farmstead and Fleetguard for the last ten years.
Lyle had twenty-three years of sobriety.
Lyle enjoyed attending Nascar and stockcar races. Farming was Lyle’s dream as he was able to help a very special couple, Larry and Donna Bidne, with their field work in the spring and fall. Lyle had a special place in his heart for the children that came to his home for childcare.
Lyle was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his wife, Betty; and three children: Terrance of Emmons, Theresa and her friend James DeMichelis Jr. of Norwalk, Iowa, and Scott and his wife Michelle of Eyota, Minn.; four granddaughters: Miette and Mahala Anderson, and Gina and Jessica Wolfgram of
Eyota; four brothers: Kenneth (Sharon) Anderson of Blooming Prairie, Dwayne Anderson (Carolyn Schutz) of Glenville, Russell (Linda) Anderson of Austin, and Richard Anderson of Austin; three sisters: Jean (Elden) Huemann of Austin, Karen (Delbert) Kinny of Albert Lea, and Lorraine Gullickson of Austin; two sisters-in-law: Carol Anderson and Kathy Anderson, both of Austin; three brothers-in-law, Phillip (Elaine) Scott of Boscobel, Wis., Eldon (Janice) Scott of Forest City, Iowa, and
Kevin (Colleen) Scott of Osage, Iowa; sister-in-law, Patricia (Mark) Evans of Osage, Iowa; and a niece and nephew that he helped raise: Deb Anderson of Mankato, and James Anderson of Forest City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Julian, Irving, Orland, Donald, Nathan and Reuben; sisters: Evelyn, Ora and Esther; and his father-in-law and his mother-in-law.
