MINNEAPOLIS &045; Leah Matheson of Albert Lea and the Tigers’ 200-yard medley relay team finished 16th in the girls’ state swimming and diving meet that concluded Wednesday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneap-olis.

Matheson, a junior, clocked 1:12.48 in the consolation finals.

Krista Horejsi, Jackie Elwood, Whitney Walters and Samantha Cole combined for a time of 1:58.53 in the medley.

The Tigers’ other state entrant, the 200 freestyle relay team of Horejsi, Walters, Elwood and Cole, did not advance to the finals or consolation finals.
