Funeral services for Sarah L. Lawson, age 92, formerly of Geneva, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24,
at St. Mary’s Church. The Rev. Thien Nguyen will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the church.

Sadie died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.
Sarah Lenore Lawson was born July 4, 1912, to John and Catherine (Cashman) Kiley in Newry Township. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School and lived in the Geneva area most of her life. On Sept. 28, 1932, Sadie was united in marriage to Earl Lawson at St. Mary’s Church. She worked at Northern Valley Packing for 20 years and was also a baker at the Cottage Caf in Geneva. Sadie was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved baking, cooking, and crocheting.
Survivors include her children: Yvonne Muri and Jerald Lawson, both of Geneva; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special niece, Elaine Peterson of Albert Lea; and sons-in-law: Hank Thompson of Ellendale, and Larry Halter of Alaska.
Sadie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; daughters: Judy Thompson and Alice Halter; son-in-law, Maynard Muri; and three sisters and three brothers.
