Sharon Elaine Brandsoy, age 47, of Austin, died Nov. 20, 2004, at St. Marys

Hospital in Rochester.

She was born Jan. 10, 1957, to Herman and Ina (Holland) Lester in Forest City, Iowa. Sharon was raised in Woden, Iowa, and graduated from Mason City High School. She married Dean Brandsoy on Nov. 4, 1978 in Austin where she had lived for the past 30 years. A computer operator at Hormel Foods Corp., Sharon was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities and camping.

Survivors include husband, Dean Brandsoy of Austin; daughter, Dena Brandsoy

(Ryan Carroll) of

Fridley; son, Matt Brandsoy (Randi Hegna) of Austin; sister, Judy Olthoff of Alison, Iowa; brothers: Dennis (Janis) Lester of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Donald Lester of Rudd, Iowa; uncle, Oscar Sater of Austin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ina and Herman Lester; and one brother, Larry.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. today, Nov. 24, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristin K. Wee officiating. Visitation was

4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
