The Albert Lea Moose Lodge B Bantams hockey team opened league play 2-0 with victories over Faribault and Austin.

Troy Seberson scored the game’s only goal at Faribault, assisted by Drew Passingham. Nick Boncimino was the goalie as Albert Lea outshot Faribault 36-22.

&uot;The kids played good,&uot; said coach Dick Herfindahl. &uot;Faribault’s goalie was tough. Our goalie also played a good game.&uot;

Passingham and Andrew Hertling scored in a 2-0 win over Austin at the City Arena. Assists were by Mike Falk and Chris Karge. Boncimino faced 41 shots.

&uot;We played a good physical game,&uot; said Herfindahl. &uot;Both teams played well.&uot;

The B Bantams host Faribault Friday at 8:15 p.m. at the City Arena.
