Richard Arlen Crane died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004. surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born Aug. 19,1938, to Giles and Zora (Hargis) Crane in. Brookings, S.D.
Dick grew up in Glenville and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1956. Dick worked for the Rock Island Railroad, Red Owl, and Allied Blacktop. He was a long time member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his mother, Zora; wife of 25 years, Patricia; daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Robert Hampton, their sons: Shane and Colin; son, Christopher and his wife, Sherry, and their sons: Kyle, Cody and Weston; son, Richard II; son, Richard B. and his son, Ethan; sister-in-law, Maxine; brother, Robert and his wife Carol; sister, Judy and her husband Ron Wangen; and
several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dick is preceded in death by his father, Giles; daughter, Elizabeth Ann; and brother, LaDon.
Services will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, Maple Grove, on Monday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. with review the prior evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Evans Nordby Funeral Home, Osseo. Services will be held at First Lutheran Church, Glenville, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. with review the prior evening 5 to 8 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea. Burial will follow the service in Glenville at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
