Memorial services for Clarence A. Olson, age 75, of Albert Lea will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate.
Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Elmore, MN. Military honors will be accorded by the Freeborn County Veteran’s Organizations. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the Church. Clarence died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at St. Benedict’s Care Center in St. Cloud.
Clarence Albert Olson was born April 4, 1929, to Clarence B. and Katherine E. (Larson) Olson in Albert Lea.
He attended schools in Elmore and Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1947.
Clarence served in the United States Air Force from 1948-1950 and was a part of the Berlin Air Lift.
He was united in marriage to Marvel D. Hanson in Northwood, IA.
Clarence had been employed as a Punch Press Operator with Scotsman Ice Machines. He was a member of the VFW and the Eagles and enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his son, Karlin and his wife, Diane Olson and their children, Shanna and Krista of Becida, MN; daughter, Kathy Neff and Bud of Brooklyn Park and children, Jennifer and her son, Ethan, Steven, and Craig. Step daughter, Mona Tusen of Albert Lea; brother Howard and his wife, Rozanne Olson of Richmond; and nieces and nephews.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marvel.
