Funeral services for Robin Marie Lee, 48, of Fairmont, will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery in Sherburn.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakeview Funeral Home.
She died with her husband, Rodney, as a result of an automobile accident on Wednesday morning, Jan. 26, 2005, near Alden.
Robin Marie Jackson was born Feb. 18, 1956, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Jesse and Theresa (Balbach) Jackson. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1974. After attending Albert Lea Vocational Technical Institute, she was employed at the Queen Stove in Albert Lea.
She married Jon Slinde in 1978. They lived in Appleton, Wis., and Burnsville prior to moving to Fairmont in 1982. While in Fairmont she operated Robin’s Daycare for 10 years until 1992. Then she was employed at Aerospace for a short time and then at the Fairmont Community Hospital in housekeeping, where she was currently employed.
She was united in marriage to Rodney Lee on July 9, 1998. Robin enjoyed rodeos, baking, crafting and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse and Andrew Slinde of Fairmont; two stepsons, Matthew and Marcus Lee of Fairmont; one granddaughter, Grace Slinde of Fairmont; her mother, Theresa Jackson of Albert Lea; two brothers, Philip Jackson and his wife, LaVonne, of Denver, Colo., John Jackson and his wife, Glenda, of Miles City, Mont.; a sister, Vicki Thompson and her husband, Mark, of Lake Mills, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Lucille Lutz of Mankato; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Jackson.
