Warren R. Hill, 83, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Warren R. Hill, of Albert Lea, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea.&160;The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate.&160;Interment will be in the Lakewood Cemetery.&160;Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before service at the church.
Warren died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. He was 83 years old.
Warren was born in Albert Lea on Nov. 13, 1921, the son of Lester &uot;Hap&uot; and Ella (Swenning) Hill.&160;Warren graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended Albert Lea Junior College. He had been a resident of Albert Lea all his life. He was married to Lola Mae Foley.
Warren was a member of First Lutheran Church. He had been active in many church activities, serving as president of Luther League and serving on the organ committee.
He had been employed at American Gas, Wilson Supply Co., and Judd Co. in Austin before retiring in 1981.&160;He served his country with the U.S. Army as a medic in World War II. He was a member of St. John’s Building Committee, Kiwanis Club and Shrine Club and was a volunteer for the
Salvation Army Food Shelf.
Warren enjoyed woodworking, trips to the lake cabin, playing cards, making clocks and spending time with his family and friends.
Warren is survived by his children: Roger (DeAnne) Hill of Elysian, and Robert (Kathleen) Hill of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren: Erik Hill, Jennifer Hill and Michael Hill; sister, Dorothy (Fred) Schaub of Glenville; brother-in-law, Newman Foley of Albert Lea ; and also nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, and&160; wife, Lola Mae.
