Bernice Louise Hintz, 90, New Richland

Bernice Louise (Pestorious) Hintz died Sunday , Feb. 13, 2005, at the New Richland Care Center. She was 90 years of age.
The funeral service for Bernice will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Mansfield Lutheran Church. The Rev. Don Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Mansfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.
She was born to Christian Arthur and Dora (Steele) Pestorious on May 9th, 1914, in rural Albert Lea. She was the second of four siblings. Her two sisters were Lucille and Margaret and her brother was Manville. Bernice was united in marriage to Adelbert Godfrey Hintz on March 29, 1995, at Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church. She attended school at District 124 through the eighth grade in rural Albert Lea.
Bernice was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran of
Pickerel Lake Church and after marriage became a member of the Mansfield Lutheran Church. Bernice prided herself as a homemaker and mother. Bernice was also a dedicated member of the church choir, Women of the Church, Church Circle, and a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include daughters-in-law: Lois M. Hintz of New Richland, and Bonnie Hintz of Rochester; two grandchildren: Dean Hintz and wife Heidi of Warner Robins, Ga., and Derrick and Deb Hintz of Byron; five great-grandchildren: Mallorie, Courtney and Taylor Hintz of Warner Robins. Ga., and Matthew and Maddeson Hintz of Byron; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Marie; husband, Adelbert; two infant daughters; son, Orlyn; two sisters: Lucille and Margaret; brother, Manville; stepbrother, Irwin Kuethe; and step sisters: Maureen (Kuethe) Breamer and Evelyn (Kuethe) Atkinson.
